Discover the Kepler Science Centre in Zielona Góra: Interactive Science and an Immersive Planetarium

Interactive exhibits, immersive planetarium shows and hands-on discovery come together at the Kepler Science Centre, one of Zielona Góra's leading science attractions.

Science is brought to life at the Kepler Science Centre in Zielona Góra, where visitors are encouraged to explore, experiment and ask questions through hands-on experiences. Combining interactive exhibits with cutting-edge planetarium technology, the Centre offers an engaging introduction to the natural world and the universe beyond.

Established in 2015, the Kepler Science Centre forms part of the Zielona Góra Cultural Centre and is divided between two venues in the heart of the city. Together, the Nature Centre and the Venus Planetarium create a science destination where learning is driven by curiosity and discovery.

Discover Science Through Experience

The Kepler Science Centre is built around the idea that science is best understood by doing. Rather than relying on traditional displays, visitors are invited to engage with interactive exhibits that encourage exploration and experimentation.

Educational activities and science-focused events complement the permanent attractions, creating opportunities for visitors to deepen their understanding through practical experiences. By combining entertainment with education, the Centre aims to inspire curiosity in visitors of all ages.

Two Venues, One Science Centre

The Kepler Science Centre is spread across two locations, each offering a different perspective on science.

The Nature Centre, located in the renovated buildings of the former Lubuskie Zakłady Aparatów Elektrycznych "Lumel" factory, focuses on interactive learning through hands-on exhibits and educational activities. Its industrial setting reflects the successful transformation of a historic site into a modern space dedicated to science.

Around one kilometre away, the Venus Planetarium occupies the former Venus Cinema, bringing together modern technology and astronomy beneath its impressive projection dome. Together, the two venues create a varied experience that encourages visitors to explore different scientific disciplines in a single visit.

Journey Beneath the Dome

At the Venus Planetarium, visitors can experience immersive films projected across a 180-degree dome using fulldome technology. High-resolution 4K projections surround the audience, creating the sensation of travelling through space and beyond.

Selected screenings are also presented in 3D, adding another dimension to the viewing experience. Whether exploring distant galaxies or discovering the wonders of our own planet, the planetarium offers a unique way to experience science through visual storytelling.

Inspiring Curiosity Since 2015

Since opening in 2015, the Kepler Science Centre has become an important destination for science education in Zielona Góra. As a branch of the Zielona Góra Cultural Centre, it combines modern technology with interactive learning to encourage visitors to engage with scientific ideas in an accessible and enjoyable way.

By bringing together two distinctive venues, the Centre demonstrates that science can be explored through experimentation, observation and immersive experiences, making every visit an opportunity to discover something new.
